The Best Northern Pike, Walleye and Lake Trout Fishing in North America

Drive In or Fly In - Your Choice

Wathaman Outpost

Light Housekeeping in a Pristine Setting

Wathaman is an experience that even the most seasoned angler will relish. Even larger than Davin lake (60 square miles), and although it does not offer the deep water of Davin, Wathaman's Walleye and Northern Pike fishing is unparalleled. Due to its remote nature and even larger size (20 square miles larger), Wathaman is fished even less than Davin. In fact, the fishing is so good that you if take a moment to examine the past winners of our Pikemaster competition, each and every one came from Wathaman!

Wathaman Outpost is a remote camp on Wathaman Lake accessible from Davin Lake by pontoon boat and portage (no plane trip required). The trip from Davin takes approximately one hour. Guests of Wathaman park their vehicles at Davin Lake Lodge during their stay. Wathaman is a Light Housekeeping camp, which means that guests bring groceries and do their own cooking for breakfast and dinner. Shore lunch is provided daily.

Wathaman Lake

Wathaman is an enormous lake--twice the size of Davin Lake at approximately 125 square miles--with a wide variety of environments including both river and lake fishing. Due to the pristine nature of Wathaman and its sheer size,, some of the largest trophy-class Pike have been caught here including the lunker to the left, landed by Steve Denny.
